What Data Does Vantage Tradespace Store?

Vantage Tradespace stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Study names and context notes you enter
• Option names and notes you enter
• Criterion names, relative importance, and rationale you enter
• Anchor text you write for each criterion's 1, 3, and 5 scores
• Scores and rationale notes for every option/criterion pair
• Saved checkpoints and named weight scenarios you create
• App preferences (color theme, purchase/unlock status)

All of this data is stored in an encrypted local database on your device. It is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.

What Data Does Vantage Tradespace Collect?

None. Vantage Tradespace does not collect any data whatsoever. Specifically:

• No personal information (name, email, phone number)
• No device identifiers or fingerprints
• No usage analytics or telemetry
• No crash reports transmitted to any server
• No advertising identifiers
• No location data
• No contacts, photos, or files (beyond backup files you explicitly create)

What Permissions Does Vantage Tradespace Require?

No special permissions. Vantage Tradespace does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any other device capability.

Third-Party Services

Vantage Tradespace uses Google Play Billing for the one-time in-app purchase that unlocks Results, Sensitivity, PDF Export, Duplicate, and Checkpoint/Undo. Purchase transactions are handled by Google Play and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your payment information — Google handles all payment processing.

No other third-party services, SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks are used in this app.

Data Sharing

Vantage Tradespace does not share any data with any third party. There is no data to share — we never have access to your information.

Data Storage and Security

Your trade study data is stored in a local, encrypted database (SQLCipher, protected by your device's own hardware-backed keystore) on your device. This data is:

• Encrypted at rest — the database itself is encrypted, independent of whether your device has a screen lock enabled
• Not backed up to Android's cloud backup — Vantage Tradespace is explicitly configured to exclude your study database from both Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer
• Not accessible to other apps on your device (Android sandboxing)
• Protected from screenshots and the Android recent-apps preview on every screen that shows your real study content

Backup and Data Portability

Because your data is protected by your device's hardware keystore, that encryption key doesn't survive a device reset, reinstall, or a device swap — losing the device means losing the studies on it. You can export any study as a file using the in-app Export Study feature, with an optional passphrase of your own choosing (if set, the file is encrypted; leave it blank and the file is saved unencrypted). This file is created on your device and goes wherever you choose to save it. We never see or have access to your exported files.

Data Deletion

To delete all Vantage Tradespace data, simply uninstall the app. All locally stored data is permanently removed when the app is uninstalled. Any files you exported are under your control — delete them from wherever you saved them.

Children's Privacy

Vantage Tradespace is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The app is a professional engineering decision-support tool intended for adults.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the updated version at this URL and update the "Last Updated" date. Since we collect no data, changes are unlikely to affect your privacy.
